Cork’d: Bordeaux’s Fine Wine Market… and Why It’s So Expensive

Now that I’m living in Bordeaux, I’m often asked the question, “why is Bordeaux wine so expensive?” Of course, the term “expensive” is relative, but most people are referring to its fine wine market. In Bordeaux, this market consists of the “Grand Cru” wines, or classified growths.
